A number of finales are much longer than the minimum expected number of moves per game, which would be 9 per player, i.e. 18 moves in total. Some games go beyond 100 moves! This demonstrates the versatility of the game and the fact that there are nearly infinite possible endings.
It’s difficult to calculate exactly how many end-positions there are (we’re still looking for the exact factorial formula that would give an accurate value?) However, estimates surpass 2 billion endings for such a small boardgame concept! (19 spaces in total and 18 pieces)
